There is absolutely no reasonable excuse that will justify your charging weekend rates on Mondays & Tuesdays. Since when did these become weekend days? Was there a state or federal legislatiion passeed that passed my ass? In light of today's economy, with so many of us unemployed, this is completely unfair. I have been coming to yur club for years, always get a room because I like to be comfortable, have my privacy, and because of this I'm being treated unfairly. I expect you to begin charging weekday rates on these days ohterwise you will lose me and many others as loyal customers on these days.

I'd like to suggest that a container like the one in the vending area be put next to the entrance to the platform. It seems like that's the place where guys are more likely to need a spontaneous sheathing.

Condoms are and were available. There are condoms placed in ALL rooms, a large container placed in the Vending area and another container at the check-in window. Additionally we provide large condoms, which are available at the clerks office. We provide these free and encourage all to use them.

That is why I suggested maybe making each contest have a money prize, instead of just one big $500 payoff for one contest.

How would judge a "Best Blow Job", other than the 2 people in the act? Given 2 pairs of guys side by side, how can someone say that this one was "better" than that one?

The "jack off" contest, while easier to measure for a winner, would tend to favor younger guys, since as guys age, then tend to dimish in those areas. :-(

Otherwise, this conflicted with firework shows around the valley, and being a holiday weekend, many might have traveled out to town. And with only a week of publicity, I didn't know it was happening, until after it was over (or Greg's email that the pool was full and ready).

So I think if anyone was there today for the "Dick Contest", I don't think it was that successful, due to not many participants. Here are some suggestions for future events:

1. Maybe have cash prizes for all 4 contests. Not saying that having a 1 month free room isn't a great prize, I think more people would participate if cash was involved. Maybe instead of having one big $500 prize, have like $100 prize each for the 4 events.

2. Ideas for future events:
- Best Blow Job: I think this would cause quite the crowd,
- Jack Off contest, see who can jack off fastest, or shoots the farthest

KenBJ - Yes, the new Summer Special with the $5.00 Lockers is for 8 hours. And I am confused with your closing comment about Monday's being a hit or miss. . . .I don't know what time you are getting there but it still is very busy mid afternoon to mid evening. And the other part "& to shell out more money." Break it down; 4 hours for $1.00 - that comes out to be 25 cents an hour for Mondays and and roughly 62 cents an hour for the summer locker special. Where else can you get that kind of entertainment so cheap and in such a great place? ? ? ?

also, in response to azsjoe's poo-poo*ing '$1 locker Mondays,' if it were to be discontinued I think many of us would stop going on Mondays altogether. The Monday crowd is just too hit or miss (too often lately, MISS) to shell out more $$$.

I find the worst thing about FLEX is that is is about an 8 hour drive from Albuquerque to get here. Gregg and the staff are wonderful and the cleaning never stops. Even the smell of fresh paint was inviting. The price is really CHEEP for what you get. In reading some of the complaints I would consider the sorce.Just the plants alone take tons of water and the pool and hot tub are sparkling clean.The new showers are top notch. I actually feel a bit sorry for the guys that can not see how fortunate they are for having such an establishment as FLEX. GREAT JOB GREGG AND STAFF... HUGS

Jimmy make me feel so comfortable at the front desk. He knows how to provide care that makes everyone feel so special in an extremely professional manner. He is a definite asset to the club.I look forward to the time I spend at the club because I know he will take care of my needs.

I used to go to the flex with friends about 8 years ago and it was the place to go. It had better music than any of the clubs and always packed with some of the hottest guys every weekend. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly and made sure your needs were met. Then they went through some troubles with the management at the time and things started going down hill and it just wasn't the same. What used to be the hottest nights had about 25% of the customers it once had and the music was really bad so me and my buddies sadly stopped going all together. But I have heard that things are looking better and I wish them all the best. It truly was like our Studio 54 in good old Phoenix Arizona. And since me and two of my best buds are still looking Flex fit at 31 were going to pop in and turn some guys out.

swine flu is making me uneasy of going to flex for the time being. Is there anything u guys are doing to make it safer?

I had a great time yesterday, Monday the 20th. The seven dollars ( I am currently not a member) was money well spent. Have never seen so many guys and packages of small to great sizes.

Regarding all this discussion about $1 Monday lockers: It seems to me that NO bathhouse/gym makes money when it charges only $1 for admission and use of the facilities, whether this is for 4 or 12 hours. The fact that some people who pay this stunning low fee GRIPE about it, is amazing to me. So here is my proposal:
1) Mondays (or Wednesdays or whatever ONE day is the slowest), lockers are 1/2 their usual weekday price. Currently enrolled students with their school ID cards and currently active military members with their ID cards can get a 1/2 price locker any day of the week (of course this would cost more on weekends, since it would be 1/2 of a larger price). Otherwise, prices remain just as they are today.
2) "Frequent flyers" who visit Flex often to use the gym, and so on, could purchase multi-entrance coupon books, each coupon good for a 4 hour locker. Coupons would cost about $4 each (a 13 coupon book would cost $50, for example). They could be doubled, but are NOT refundable and can NOT be transferred.
3) NO MORE $1 lockers or other money-losing arrangements!!! I've lived in several cities with NO bathhouses, and am very familiar with their importance to the gay community. I want to keep FLEX in business and prosperous. It is to all of our advantage to do so, IMHO.
So there's my 2 cents worth on this subject. And BTW, remember to tip these hard-working guys who do everything they can to make our visits pleasant, clean, safe, and comfortable!

Chuck, your "solution" would cost 40 TRILLION dollars, just for the early retirement aspect (which is exactly what social security retirement was designed for--to get jobs freed up for younger workers).
And supply/demand would take care of the rest of these ideas, since the prices of autos and housing would skyrocket--putting everyone ELSE out of the market.
I agree, however, that it would be great to come up with some kind of solution for the average Joe, rather than the current billions for big business and moguls.

Hey all I am considering my first ever visit to this complex just a little nervous what should I expect when I get there

I told the manager I would do this last week (but didn't get it done), so now I am: it's disappointing to read the few comments b*tching about the new 4-hrs-for-$1.00 policy. Regardless of how far any of you may have to drive, etc., can you honestly say that any other Entertainment Option costs only 25-cents p/ hour?! No, you cannot. The only change I would like to see is something of an expansion of the 4-hrs-for-$1.00 to include Tues. - Thurs. I've been to other Flex locations where a 'lunchtime special' on lockers is done, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., one some combination of days, M - Th. We already have (basically) all-day $1 lockers on Mondays, but it would be nice to have Other Economical Options available during the week, too. I've had the pleasure of trysting with Hot Business Daddies during their Lunchtime Excursions in Los Angles, Dallas and Houston, and it would certainly be enoyable to see who might pop in for a quickie Tu - Th. Now, for MY b*tch: please, keep track of the towel that YOU are issued, and don't just grab whichever one is closest! Doing so is both RUDE and LAZY. With emphasis on the hooks outside of the steamroom, if you are too dumb to remember which hook contains YOUR towel, then perhaps you need to stay away from the steamroom?

Now I've seen it all....I cannot believe that people are actually complaining about the changes at Flex. How cheap can some of you be??? As for the comment that the club is "making money", how the hell do you know? Do you do their books? I know for a fact that their employees have been faced with pay freezes and in some cases PAY CUTS!!

As a long time customer I have witnessed their business drop over the past few years. They, like any other business are trying to stay in business while being very fair and accommodating to their customers.

Put it into perspective people - What in this world can you actually buy for one dollar? You can't even buy a gallon of gas for one dollar. You can't ride a city bus for one dollar. okay so I've been to Flex like 3 times now...I always tell myself that I'm never going back (just because I'm not really comfortable with the whole bath house type of thing) but I'm still going back because of how good of a time I have each time. I just want to say how awesome the staff is...I'm not sure which guy it is but he has rung me in every time I've gone and last night when I went I didnt' have any cash and it was only $1 and the card has a minimum of $10 charge and I said that he could just run it, but he was so sweet and adorable about it and made sure I purchased $10 worth of aspirin so that I at least got SOMETHING for the $10 I was about to spend hah...you guys are great, just wanted to let ya know that--don't know the next time I'll be back

just wanted to let everyone know everytime i go to the flex i have the time of my life i highly recomend it if you just want to relax or if you wanna play around there is always the right guy even if you just wanna chit-chat i love it there and everyone who works there it is just a bummer my car broke down so i wont be able to make it untill two weeks. can't wait
